Tennis, decoded
by data.
Our EdgeLab 4.1 model blends surface-specific Elo, playing styles, form and head-to-head across 300,000 matches since 2013, then flags the odds that tell a different story.
Every match page then unpacks more than 60 metrics, down to break points converted.

The market sets a price.
EdgeLab reads the game.
One probability per match, set against the odds. When the two clearly part ways, there's something worth a look. That's this tool's entire job.

Our approach
An engine, not picks.
Every match of the day runs through the same pipeline: from raw data to a probability, then from that probability to a gap against the market.
The EdgeLab 4.1 model
Surface-specific Elo, style matchups (our matrix learned from history), recent form, head-to-head weighted by recency and surface, fatigue: one probability per match, continuously recalculated.
Value, with discipline
When our probability clearly diverges from the odds, the match gets flagged. Never without a Bet365 cross-check, and every signal is then judged by CLV — the only honest compass over the long run.
Players profiled in depth
12 playing styles computed against peers of the same level, records against every style, by surface and court speed, serve and return ratings, clutch, match load.
Aces and double faults, band by band
Not an average, but the probability of each band: 0 to 2 aces, 3 to 5, 6 to 8, and beyond. The projection accounts for the server, the court speed, the likely length of the match and the player receiving. That last part weighs more than you would think: from one returner to the next, the expected number of aces can double.
On court
What the model spots.
The model doesn't look for the winner — it looks for the price that doesn't add up.

FAQ
The questions we get asked.
And if yours isn't here, the methodology page goes further.
Where do your probabilities come from?
From the EdgeLab 4.1 model: a blend of surface-specific Elo, style matchups (our matrix learned from history), recent form and weighted head-to-head. Every component is backtested on the full corpus before it ships, and the ones that add nothing stay out.
What exactly is a value signal?
A match where the model's probability clearly diverges from the one implied by the odds. We only call it after cross-checking Bet365's odds, and we then judge it by CLV: if the closing odds side with the model, the signal was right, whatever the match result.
Why so much room for Challengers?
Because that's where the market is missing the most information. On the main tour, odds are very efficient; at Challenger level, EdgeLab's depth of data makes a real difference. It's a deliberate choice, at the heart of the tool.
There's a gap between your model and the odds, and yet you don't play it. Why?
Because a gap on its own isn't enough. Our rules come from replaying 55,317 priced matches between 2016 and 2026, more than ten years of tour, and they set two conditions, not one: the gap must reach 12 points, and the player carrying it must be given above 50% by the model. A gap on a player our model doesn't see as the favourite loses money over those ten years, so we stand aside. Three other cases make us pass: odds not cross-checked by a second source, odds our audit flags as suspicious, and a player whose Elo rating still rests on too few matches. The match page always says which of these conditions blocked it.
Does EdgeLab guarantee winning bets?
No — and be wary of anyone who promises that. EdgeLab provides honest probabilities, documented gaps and a public track record. Variance is real, staking discipline is yours, and betting should stay fun: please gamble responsibly.
