Data collected

• Email address and password (stored encrypted, never in clear text).
• Handle (optional), displayed publicly.
• Game data : bets placed, coin balances, history.
• Consent to receive emails (newsletter), if you ticked the box.
• The minimal technical data required for the service to work (session).

Purposes & legal basis

• Managing your account and your participation - performance of the contract.
• Sending information/marketing emails - your consent (revocable at any time).
• Security and fraud prevention - legitimate interest.

Processors & hosting

Your data is processed through : Supabase (database and authentication, European Union - Ireland), Vercel (application hosting), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (subscription payments - Stripe alone processes card data, we never have access to it), Cloudflare (routing of the questions asked to the analysis chat), PostHog (audience measurement, session recording and product improvement, hosted in the European Union - it receives the email address of accounts, so that we can connect a support request to the journey behind it, as well as a recording of your browsing on the site, conversations with the analysis chat included, which helps us understand where the service gets in the way ; whatever you type into a form field is masked before it is sent and never reaches it) and FirstPromoter (management of our referral programme - it only receives the email address of accounts created after following a partner link, see the Cookies section). These providers do not use your data for any other purpose.

Signing in with an external provider

If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google passes us only your email address, your name and your profile picture : those are the only permissions we request (email and profile). We receive neither your contacts, nor your messages, nor the contents of your Google account.

The other way round, we send Google no data about your EdgeLab activity : not your bets, not the analyses you read, not your subscription. Google only learns that you signed in to EdgeLab, at the moment you click.

For that operation Google acts on its own behalf : its privacy policy applies. This sign-in method is optional : you can create and use an EdgeLab account with just an email address and a password, without ever going through a third party.

Retention period

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You may request its deletion at any time (see below). The data is then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object, restrict processing and to data portability. You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time. To exercise these rights : hello@edge-lab.io. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French supervisory authority (cnil.fr).

Cookies

EdgeLab only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to work (login session) and for display personalisation (the language you read, and the country that decides which currency is shown and what local regulation lets us display) : we do not set any advertising cookie of our own.

PostHog, our measurement tool, sets no cookie : it keeps a visit identifier in your browser's local storage (localStorage), for as long as it takes to link the pages of a single visit together. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

The country cookie stores a two-letter code for one year. It is used for display only, it is sent to no one, and it cannot recognise you across devices. You can change it at any time from the country selector at the bottom of every page.

One exception : the referral programme. If you reach EdgeLab through a partner's link, a cookie from our provider FirstPromoter remembers for 90 days which partner recommended the site, so that they can be credited a commission if you subscribe. If you then create an account, your email address is sent to FirstPromoter for that sole purpose. Outside of a referral link, this cookie attributes nothing and no data is sent.

Partner advertising

French-language pages display a banner from our partner PMU, a gambling operator licensed in France, under an affiliate programme. The English version of the site displays none.

Displaying that banner calls PMU's servers, which may then set their own trackers and measure clicks for 15 days in order to credit us a commission. Those trackers are PMU's, not ours : they fall under its own privacy policy (pmu.fr). PMU sends us no personal data about you. Any ad or tracker blocker prevents this, and the banner then disappears from the page entirely.
