API terms
Last updated: August 2026
This is a courtesy translation. The French version is the only legally binding one.
These terms govern programmatic access to EdgeLab data (edge-lab.io), hereafter « the API ». They are a separate contract from the site terms, which continue to govern your account and, where applicable, your EdgeLab Pro subscription. By subscribing to the API or using a key, you accept them without reservation.
This contract is concluded between professionals. The API is a tool meant to be integrated into a product or a service ; it is not offered to consumers. Provisions specific to consumer contracts, in particular the right of withdrawal and consumer mediation, do not apply.
1. Purpose
EdgeLabprovides a programming interface allowing part of the service data to be read through authenticated HTTP requests : match schedule, player profiles, head-to-head, analyses and signal tracking. The exact scope, parameters and response format are described in the technical documentation, which forms part of this contract.
API access is included in no site offer. Conversely, an API key grants no right over the contents reserved for site subscribers.
2. The key, and what it commits you to
Access uses a personal key, issued on subscription and regenerable at any time from your account. It is a secret : keeping it as such is your responsibility.
Any request presenting your key is deemed to be made by you, and you answer for it, including where it comes from a third party you entrusted it to or who obtained it. If in doubt about its confidentiality, regenerate it : the previous one stops working immediately.
The key may not be assigned, shared, or used on behalf of a third party. Access intended for several entities requires as many contracts.
3. What you may do with the data
EdgeLab grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right of use, for the term of your subscription, for the sole purpose of feeding your own product or service.
You may display the data to your users, transform it, combine it with your own processing, and build a service of your own on top of it.
4. What you may not do with it
The following are prohibited :
a. Reselling or redistributing as received. The data may not be offered, assigned or published as received, nor through an access that would reproduce the API. You sell what you build, not what you receive.
b. Building a competing service. The data may not be used to build, directly or for a third party, a tennis data or analysis offer substitutable for that of EdgeLab.
c. Reconstituting the database. Systematic extraction aimed at reconstituting all or a substantial part of the data, by accumulating calls or by any other means, is prohibited regardless of quota compliance.
d. Circumventing limits. Multiplying accounts or keys to exceed a cap, or attempting to access data not served to you, is a breach.
e. Misrepresentation. Presenting the data as a guaranteed prediction, attributing it to EdgeLab in an altered form, or suggesting a partnership that does not exist.
5. Quotas and usage measurement
Each plan carries a request cap, published on the offer page and in the documentation. API responses carry headers stating your consumption and when your window reopens : they are authoritative. Beyond the cap, the API refuses requests until it reopens.
EdgeLabmeasures each key's usage, including the number of distinct objects consulted, for the sole purposes of billing, security and detection of uses contrary to article 4.
6. Suspension and revocation
EdgeLab may suspend or revoke a key without notice in the event of a breach of these terms, non-payment, payment dispute, or use jeopardising the availability of the service for other users.
Revocation takes effect immediately : the key stops working from the next request. It gives no right to a refund of the current period.
7. Availability, and absence of warranty
The API is provided as is. EdgeLabmakes no service level commitment : no availability rate, no response time, no correction deadline.
The data comes from third-party sources and statistical processing : it may contain errors, delays or gaps. No warranty of accuracy, completeness or outcome is given, and no probability produced by the model constitutes advice or a promise of gain.
It is your responsibility to plan how your service behaves in the event of unavailability, partial response, or format change.
8. Evolution of the API
The API is versioned. Additions(new fields, new routes) may occur without notice within an existing version : your client must not reject what it does not know. An incompatible change gives rise to a new version, the previous one remaining served for an announced transition period.
9. Price, term and termination
The subscription is monthly, payable in advance, and renews tacitly. The applicable price is the one displayed on the offer page at the time of subscription.
You may terminate at any time from your account : access runs until the end of the paid period, then the key stops working. EdgeLabmay terminate with one month's notice, or without notice in the cases of article 6.
A change of price or of these terms is notified to you at least thirty days before it takes effect. If it does not suit you, you may terminate before that date.
10. Personal data
The data served by the API concerns professional players and matches : it contains no personal data about your users. For the processing you carry out with your own users, you are the sole data controller.
The processing of YOUR account data is described in our privacy policy.
11. Liability
EdgeLab is not liable for indirect damages, nor for loss of business, data or opportunity resulting from the use of the API or its unavailability. In any event, its liability is limited to the amounts actually paid over the last twelve months.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. The parties will seek an amicable solution before any action ; failing that, the competent courts are those of the jurisdiction of EdgeLab's registered office. Any question : hello@edge-lab.io.
Articles 2, 4, 10 and 11 survive the end of the contract.
